Hello Team,

We are using TMS570LC4357 controller in one of our programs and performing self tests using PBIST and STC modules. We have seen the PBIST self test and STC self test code generated by HALCOGEN to test these modules. Is there any way to know that these tests on PBIST and STC modules are working as expected to detect the actual failures?

Kalyan,

There is no method to induce a real hard fault in the memories or logic being tested. In that sense, the TRM / safety manual explains methods to verify the failure detection capabilities of these self-test mechanisms. These methods rely on inducing a fault during the self-test using a method other than a real hard fault.
