TM4C1294NCPDT: the material of the pin: NIPDAU

Dear team

My customer is using TM4C1294NCPDTT3.  

The previous PIN feet are silver, the next two batches are black (looks) feet.

It seems that the material of the pin was changed: NIPDAU nickel palladium gold,

Can anyone provide the following documents:

1. When did the PIN material change?

2. What are the differences between NIPDAU and the previous material?

3. NIPDAU is black.  How to standardize and professionally explain its colors and differences?

    Can you provide images of the device in question here?

    It sounds like the external lead wires are black, is that correct?

    The external lead frame shouldn't have changed at all for that device, and we wouldn't anticipate them being black now. What you are referring to would not impact the exterior of the device at all.

    Once we have an image we can try and assess what might be going on here. Also would be good to understand how the customer received those units.

    I am the buyer that effected  by above questions . Our resources is qualified bought from TI with No doubt  .

    we bought 18+/19+ DC products few times by 10K qty but 18+'s PIN lead looks silvery ,sparkling 

    we want know WHEN the PIN lead material replaced by NIPDAU ? Any official doc. show to us ?

    we deliver to customer factory by what TI gives us .we never open the vacuum package .

    Can TI explain to us by official doc. or any statement relevant this TM4C1294   ? even about NIPDAU material doc ?

    We even knew this situation would not effect chip functions but we only want to know why this happend or what reason makes chip leads look like being BLACK (red)?

    The pin material has not changed since this part was released to production, and it has shipped with NiPdAu since it was released to market.

    No, NiPdAu is not black.  It is the silver color that you have been seeing all along.

    The images shared were not very clear for us to really be able to give insight. What would help is if there could be a side by side of a good unit and a 'black feet' unit with better zoom in so we can clearly see the difference. That would let us better assess if it may be oxidation or something else.

    Also it looks like the corner pin for a couple of those are bent a bit, was there any processing of the devices occurring? Just trying to understand to see if there are any possible explanations we can provide regarding this observation.
