TMS570LS3137: MibSPI communication between two MCUs

Part Number: TMS570LS3137

Hello,

I have two MCUs and I would like to use mibSPI1 on MCU #1 and mibSPI5 on MCU #2. On the pinout, reset pull states are different. Are they supposed to be same for each SPI pin or not? How can be connection done?

MibSPI1SOMI[0] (pullup) to minSPI5SIMO[0] (pullup)  Is this connection possible or one must be pulldown?

Thank you for your attention.

Best.

  • Helo,

In the Terminal Functions tables, the "Default Pull State" is the state of the pull applied to the terminal while nPORRST is low and immediately after nPORRST goes High. The "Pull Type" is the type of pull asserted when the signal name in bold is enabled for the given terminal by the IOMM control registers.

The pull type for MibSPI SIMOx and SOMIx are configurable. The MibSPI master and slave should be have the same pull type.

To connect MibSPI1 and MibSPI5, the SIMO should connect to SIMO, and SOMI to SOMI.
