my customer is searching for a small and simple linux based Ethernet-to-RS232 interface module or chipset.

Could TIDM-TM4C129XS2E be suitable for this job? Could you please share your assesment?

    Hi Alen,

      Please note the TIDM-TM4C129XS2E is a TI reference design for Ethernet-to-RS232 conversion based on the TM4C129 MCU. The TIDM-TM4C129XS2E is not meant to be used in a final product or end equipment. Customers can certainly reference this TI reference design to design their own board for use in their final systems. Please refer to the last page "IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR TI REFERENCE DESIGNS" in the user's guide .
