Hello all,
I am currently working with Launchxl2-570lc43 and Victron Energy Product: Venus GX. I need to establish Modbus TCP communication between these two. The LAUNCHXL2-570LC43 has DP83630 PHYTER+RJ Connector & Venus GX has an ethernet port.
When I googled about my need, I came to a conclusion that Register Programming is to be done in order to get Data from Venus GX. I have got Register list of Venus GX (that is : https://www.victronenergy.com/live/ccgx:modbustcp_faq) and have Datasheet of TMS570LC43x Launchpad.
I also found a GitHub repository of Victron Energy & that is https://github.com/victronenergy/dbus_modbustcp#readme .
I am new to the embedded systems. The problem is I don't know where to start. Kindly suggest the right direction for successful completion of my project.

Hi QJ,
Is it possible to integrate modbus tcp stack on launchpad
Regards,
Advaith
Hello Advaith,
We do not have a TI-provided example implementation of Modbus on TMS570. There are, however, examples of implementations done on Hercules MCUs. See this thread for example: https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/hercules/f/312/t/675413?RM46L852-Modbus-Over-TCP-IP-control-hand-in-TCP-Rx-interrupt
This is an RTOS example with a Modbus implementation (also supports TMS570): http://www.nuttx.org/Documentation/NuttX.html
