Both SRAM and Flash support single error correction and double error detection (SECDED).

If "Auto ECC Generation" is selected when loading the code, the ECC of the code will be generated and programmed to ECC flash memory locations. If you use F021 flash API to program code to flash, the ECC can also be generated and programmed. 

For RAM, every 64-bit write to RAM, the CPU also writes an 8-bit ECC. For any write smaller than 64-bit, CPU performs read-modify-write operation to ensure that the correct ECC is also written.

The "Auto ECC Generation" in CCS on-flash window only enables the CCS to generate ECC for code which will be programmed to flash. It doesn't generate ECC for the content in RAM.
