TMS570LC4357: ETPWM double update cycle

Hi,

We are working on a digital controller for PMSM with very high responsive current characteristics. We might required to use double update PWM technique for stability issues. Is the PWM module of TMS570LC4375 is compatible for double update PWM cycle? I know that Piccolo C2000 series controllers can adopt this feature, but not sure with TMS570 series. It will be great help, if you can share any example code if one available. Any further suggestions for the double update PWM cycle with TMS570LC4375 series controller will be helpful. Thanks.

    Hi Chandra,

    The ADC module as well as the ePWM module on TMS570 devices support flexible trigger options for the ADC. It is certainly possible to support a double update PWM technique on these devices. We don't have an example that you can readily use though.

    The ePWM-based trigger options (SOCx signals) and ADC group configuration options are all documented in the reference manual.
