TMS570LC4357-EP: one EMIF interface for both External RAM and Display Controller

Hello TI,

In our Design we are using TMS570LC4357-EP controller. We have a doubt regarding EMIF. We are using EMIF to interface external RAM and we are also planning to interface EPSON Display Controller (S1D13513F01A100) through EMFI interface. But as there is only one EMIF interface available in TMS controller, Kindly let us know whether both RAM and Display Controller can be interfaced using the same EMIF interface.

The EMIF of the TMS570LC4357-EP has multiple chip selects so it can be used with multiple memory mapped devices. You will need to verify that the SRAMs and the display controller will be compatible on the same memory bus.

Hello Mr. Crosby,

Yes we had verified with TI regarding the compatibility of SRAM and Display controller with TMS earlier, but we wanted to confirm use of both Display controller and SRAM using single EMIF.
