The N2HET micromachine is connected to a port of up to 32 input/output (I/O) pins. All the N2HET pins can be used as GIO pin. N2HET modules have same register sets as GIO for configuring the pin direction, data in, data out, etc, so all the GIO APIs for port/pin operation can be used for N2HET pins.
