Hi team,
I received inquiry about Crystal clock source implementation. According to datasheet [7.3.2 Hibernation Clock Source] (https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/tm4c123gh6pz), there is following description. “When using a crystal clock source, the GNDX pin should be connected to digital ground along with the crystal load capacitors.”
However, according to EK-TM4C123GXL’s schematic(https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/SPMR240), GNDX (53-oin) terminal is Not connected to digital ground as follows. Our customer also implemented this GNDX, like TM4C123G LaunchPad. In the case that GNDX is not connected to GND, would you consider there is possibility that any unexpected-behavior(Crystal does not work) occurs? Can we have your Expert’s advice/comments on this please?
Best regards,
Miyazaki
