CCS/RM57L843: Code Composer Studio not starting

Can you try specifying a new clean workspace folder and see if you can open CCS that way?

Hi Ki,

I'm unable to do that because workspace window is not at all opening. Only code composer studio welcome screen is appearing and disappears after few seconds, its not going any further.

Please try deleting the entire .metadata folder in the workspace location

I tried but no luck ! :(

When looking at the log, I see:

org.eclipse.core.internal.resources.ResourceException(/Bringup-EEPROM)[275]: java.lang.Exception: A resource exists on disk with a different case: 'D:\bringup-EEPROM'.

It looks like a case sensitivity issue (Bringup-EEPROM vs bringup-EEPROM). Was the folder renamed?

Yes it was renamed before. But I worked on that project after renaming also. At that time I haven't face any issue .

Can you try renaming the project back to the original name? If that doesn't work, try removing the project folder (move to different location) and see if you can reimport it.

What is your workspace folder location? Is it the whole D:\ drive?

I have tried to change project name externally but still ccs is not opening.

This is unusual to have a workspace folder be a whole drive. Is D:\ some kind of mapped drive or is it an actually physical partition?

Its physical partition.

Edited org.eclipse.ui.ide.prefs file and removed line no.2 completely.

Great! Thank you for the update.

Just to reiterate, It is recommended to not use the root directory of an entire drive/partition as the workspace location. Please use a subdirectory specifically meant for the workspace.
