TMS570LS3137: Flash operation failure

Part Number: TMS570LS3137

Hi,

Processor: TMS570LS3137

I am trying to do flash operation in which I need to flash the first 4 bytes of a sector. When I try to do that, I am seeing an error that the flash operation failed and the message is "16-bit alignment is enabled for the ECC". Should we need to flash atleast 8 bytes of the flash?

Regards

Sundar

  • Hello,

Flash ECC is calculated on 64-bit aligned addresses. Data not supplied is treated as 0xFF. There is no problem to write 4-bytes to flash. The flash should be erased (content becomes 0xFFFFFFFF) first before programming. You can not flip the flash cell from state "0" to state "1".
