Part Number: MSP432P401R
Greetings,
I have an external circuit on a breadboard (powered by an external SMPS) and I would like to probe it using the MSP432 P401R + TExaS Display software (the signals are <1kHz).
My questions are: Is it possible to do this? Do I need to connect the external SMPS ground to the MSP ground?
I tried probing an oscillator pin using a voltage divider (without joining grounds), it should have been a 2.5V square wave (since the pin is 5V and the resistors are equal in value) - but I got a 3.3V square wave instead. So I think there's a ground unbalance here, even though both the PC and the SMPS are at the same outlet.
Thanks in advance.
