TM4C129CNCPDT：Device recommendation

  TM4C129 will be a one good choice. The TM4C123 will be another Tiva MCU that should meet your requirement from the peripherals point of view.

We have a set of TM4C123x devices which will meet these requirements. Dual CAN Bus plus USB is not available on all TM4C123x devices, and 50 GPIO are only offered on larger package types. The devices which offer this set of requirements are:

• TM4C123GE6PZ
• TM4C123GH6PGE
• TM4C123GH6PZ
• TM4C123GH6ZRB
• TM4C123GH6ZXR

The TM4C123GE6PZ is 128 kB Flash, the rest are 256 kB Flash. Full details can be found in our updated product selector guide: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spmt285

They also come in four total variant package types:

• 100 LQFP
• 144 LQFP
• 157 BGA
• 168 NFBGA

For TM4C129x devices, the price point will be higher and if they do not use Ethernet, LCD Controller, or Hardware Encryption then I am not sure they are getting any value for the increased price point. The exception would be if they need more Flash size as TM4C129x starts at 512 kB and most devices have 1 MB Flash.

The EVM for TM4C123x is EK-TM4C123GXL though they won't get 50 GPIO through that EVM unfortunately, and that is one area that the TM4C1294NCPDT could offer initial evaluation value as it provides enough IO on the EK-TM4C1294XL LaunchPad

We do not have an EVM for the TM4C129CNCPDT. If they plan to use the Hardware Encryption functionality of that device then they should purchase the superset device EVM which is EK-TM4C129EXL. That will have a TM4C129ENCPDT populated.
