MSP432P4111: Random number generation

Hi,

My customer wants to generate random number in MSP432P4x.
I think there is no RNG module inside the device.
Is there any recommended method using software or hardware?

Hi，

You can use the C-Lib srnd and rnd to generate the random. And you can use a random action such as key input, ADC max/min ect, to capture a timer counter value as a seed.

Hi,

We don't have any document on it. It always case by case.

If you have any key input, irregular communication, ADC sensing for temperature etc, you can treat these kind of random actions as a trigger to get the seed.

For example, you can enable a 32bit timer which run on fly. When this kind of actions happened, you can capture the timer counter and use the counter value as a seed.
