TMS570LC4357: Pin state after warm reset nRST?

Part Number: TMS570LC4357

Hello Experts,

The datasheet mentions that the Terminal Function get set to default states during and after nPORRST (Chapter 4.2), but I couldn't find a description of the behaviour during warm reset (nRST).

(Q1) Do the pins get reset to their default function during a nRST?

Thank you and best regards,
Max

  • Hello Max,

I am sorry for late response. I experienced power outage and internet lost since the severe weather in Texas.

The TRM register description includes the bit-field reset values. This typically refers to warm reset (system reset nRST). For example, the default value in GIO DIR register shows that the GIO pins is configured as INPUT after RESET (warm reset).

Any bit-field that is only reset by cold reset (power-on-reset nPORRST) is explicitly specified as such. For example, ESM status registers are only reset by cold reset.
