Hi,

My goal is to trigger an ISR if there's a falling or a rising edge on GIOA[2].

If I look at the TMS570 datasheet, it looks like it's possible.

Problem
But, in HALcoGEN, it doesn't seem like an option.

If I look at the code generated by HALcoGEN, it seems like the rising vs falling edge POL option is only stored on 1 bit.

How can I configure my HALcoGEN project to trigger an interrupt on both edges?

Hello,

Yes, it can generate interrupt on both edges or single edge. To use both edges, please enable the bit field of GIOINTDET register. The GIOPOL register is used to set the single edge.

The HAL doesn't include this option, please add the code manually.

gioREG->INTDET = 0x4; // for GIOA[2]

I will add the code manually.

That said, I fear that somebody in my team will regenerate the HALcoGEN project one day, erasing my manual configuration.

Is there a way to add some code to the gio.h file permanently?

The only method I am aware of is to insert code inside a pair of /* USER CODE BEGIN (<number>) */ and /* USER CODE END */ comment lines. Any code added between such comments is preserved when HalCoGen re-generates the project code.

Hi Gabriel,

Chester is correct. You can insert your own function inside "USER CODE" section to select both edges for interrupt generation.
