MSP432P401R: USB interface

Hi Team,

We are using MSP432P401R in our application. Please suggest a USB interface ICs and circuits to be used with MSP432P401R, to connect to computer over USB.

MSP432P401R should act as a device, and the Computer has be used as a host. We should update the MSP432P401R firmware over USB.

Hi Denny,

I think you can use a USB to UART device: like MSP430FR5510 Like the one used on the lauchpad or FTDI FT232RL

Thank you Eason. I have one more question, by any chance can we make MSP432P401R to act as a USB host using any external ICs? To connect any HID input devices.

Yes, you can. I have little knowledge about this part. As I search on the Internet, cp2110 seems can ack as HID to UART function.
