MSP-EXP432E401Y: Azure SDK: Iothub_client_sample_mqtt example abort after a few loops

Part Number: MSP-EXP432E401Y

Hello TI Community,

i used the iothub_client_sample_mqtt example for MSP-EXP432E401Y (CCS, TI-RTOS). All works fine, but when I increase the number of messages to send ("MESSAGE_COUNT" > 7...12) the program abort. The console shows no information/error (not even in debug mode). In a later version I would like to send permanently data from a connected sensor to the Azure Cloud.

Example: MESSAGE_COUNT=15 -> Sends 10 Messages and stops without error

When I hit the suspend button it shows the following:

Is there something to add like a keep-alive-signal or something else to maintain the connection? (And if, how?)

I hope somebody could help me.

With best regards

Patrick

  • Hi Patrick,

I'm not sure why increasing MESSAGE_COUNT would cause this issue. In this project, there's only an if() statement that checks if the message count is less than MESSAGE_COUNT.

Have you defined "ENABLE_LOGGING" in 'itohub_client_sample_mqtt.c'? Even without enabling this, you should be seeing something printed from the sprintf_s() function right before the message is sent.

Another thing I noticed was there are spaces in your "...clientType" arguments. I'm not sure if that's causing an issue or not. Notice the space delimiter "%20".
