TI Hercules ARM Cortex-R4/R5 full tech ref manual / user guide

Expert 2035 points

I see this presentation from TI:

https://training.ti.com/sites/default/files/docs/hercules_cortexr4_system_architecture_cp15.pdf

Some slides refer to the ARM's Cortex R4 tech ref manual (slide 3 is snapshot from it).

But is there TI's own specific Hecules Cortex R4 implementation manual  / full reference guide?   to supplement ARM's, and perhaps cover MCU's implementer's defined parts..?

  • The TMS570LSx/LCx series TRM contains references to the R4F/R5F TRM from ARM. The CPU core, MPU, FPU, PMU etc that are parts of ARM IP are not covered in TI data manual and TRM.

  • Ok, so there isn't any extension or as ARM arch ref manual would call implementation defined (here === TI's SoC) behavior ?

(just for example, ignore for question : a hint instruction wfi may trigger some special lower power mode, but that depends on the chip implementation )
