TMS320F280041: Binary file lost many 0xFFFF generated by C2000 Hex Utility compared with binary file read out from flash by Uniflah

Hi the scenario like below:

1. loaded SM5300x.out into our TMs320F280041, then read out it as "read2.bin" by Uniflash.

2 compared read2.bin and SM5300x.bin generated by C2000 Hex Utility.

3 found there are many 0xFFFF lost in SM5300.bin, see the attached pictures

Hi Vamsi,

I added bellow line in the link cmd file, after compiling, check the .bin file, cannot find any oxffff at adrress 0x8454F - 0x84fff

FLASH_BANK0_SEC4C : origin = 0x08454F, length = 0x000AB1 vfill =0xffff

Looks like you followed the discussion from the other thread we are discussing.

Please use fill instead of vfill.

We solved the issue by using intel hex format and use our hex-to-bin application convert to binary.
