Hi!,
I am using Piccolo F28069 (TMDSCNCD28069 R1.1) for Motor control Project with the help of a speedgoat machine . early its working fine, but now when i try to flash the program , it show an error like below screenshot.
Error :C28xx: Failed CPU Reset: (Error -1137 @ 0x6) Device is held in reset. Take the device out of reset, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 9.2.0.00002)
.;.When i try to find the solution for the error , i got a Ti forum with same error but different control card .(link :CCS/TMS320F28035: Troubleshooting Procedure for error"C28xx: Failed CPU Reset: (Error -1137 @ 0x6) Device is held in reset. Take the device out of reset, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 6.0.576.0)" - C2000 microcontrollers forum - C2000︎ microcontrollers - TI E2E support forums )
So i follow the steps . what i got from that ,when the Brett Larimore ask to check the XRSn pin .So when i check it I got 0V rather than 3.3V ,now i am stuck here .what should i do next..is there any further troubleshooting i can carry out to resolve this issue of TI control card?
Hi Amal,
I would suggest you leverage the board schematics to debug the problem further. You can find a copy of those in C2000ware under the boards>controlCARDs folder.
If the XRSn pin low, then, per the board schematics, that could mean the board is not generating 3.3V. Can probe TP2 to verify? You can also confirm if LD1 is on (on = 3.3V is present).
Hi Gus ,
Thanks for the reply , But I couldn't find the TP2 pin in the schematic , can you please provide the information about this pin location ?. In addition LD1 is turn stable GREEN and LD2 is stable RED ,LD3 is OFF , also I put SW1 and SW2 are in ON condition. So what should i do next.
Hi Amal,
I couldn't find the TP2 pin in the schematic , can you please provide the information about this pin location ?
You can see the schematic below.
In addition LD1 is turn stable GREEN and LD2 is stable RED ,LD3 is OFF
This indicates that the device has power. Can you check to see if the device has clock by probing the X1 pin? You can probe directly on R3.
If there is a clock then I think there is something wrong with the MCU. Maybe it has been damaged.
Hi Gus ,
Yes ,the clock is working .So by your referance we got the conclusion its been damaged .Is anything we can do to correct the card and thank you for helping Us.
Amal,
Not that I can think of. You will have to replace it with a new one.
