TMDSCNCD28379D: LWIP build error in CCS (for ENC28J60 Ethernet LAN Module)

Hello,

I am trying to interface ENC28J60 ethernet LAN module with my TMDSCNCD28379D board.

I am using LWIP for TCP/IP stack on ENC28J60. I added the LWIP files I need to my project. However, when I compile my project, CCS throws an error in some LWIP files as shown in the image below.

The compiler does not recognize lines 74 and 78.

I have enabled --gcc as seen in the picture below. However, that didn't work either.

I couldn't solve this problem, how can we solve the problem?

My CCS version is 9.3.0.00012. Also my compiler version is 20.2.5.LTS

Hi Sinan,

Can you send me the entire compilation log? I don't see this structure definition in any of the files . Which file is this?

From the include files posted can't see the definition of the PACK_STRUCT_BEGIN macro, but suspect the problem is that the C28x compiler doesn't support packed structures.

Looking at some LWIP ports for ARM Cortex-M devices, LWIP makes use of packed structures and therefore LWIP will probably require modification to run on a C28x CPU.

Hi Sinan,

Yes, the C2000 compiler does not support packed structures, hence you are seeing the error.

The LWIP example provided with C2000Ware (C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_3_04_00_00\libraries\communications\Ethernet\third_party\lwip) is applicable on the ARM Cortex M4 based subsystem of F2838x
