TMS320F28027: Interrupts and ADC question

Hi support team,

I have the following question:

If an ADC receives a SOC trigger when a previous interrupt service routine is still executing, does the ADC still perform the conversion and generate an EOC pulse?

The previous ISR is still executing meaning the ADCINTFLGCLR bit is not cleared when the SOC is received.

If yes, then does that mean the operation of the interrupt service routine and ADC conversion occur parallelly in the processor in this case?

The ADC can still convert the signal that corresponds to the SOC trigger while an ISR is executing. If the ADC is configured for continuous mode, further interrupt pulses are generated whenever a selected EOC event occurs even if the flag bit is set. If in non-continuous mode, no further interrupt pulses can be generated until the flag bit is cleared through the ADCINTFLGCLR register. The ADCINTOVF flag will be set if EOC events are generated while the ADCINTFLG flag is set. Both ADCINTFLG and ADCINTOVF flags have to be cleared before normal interrupt operation can resume in non-continuous mode.
