[FAQ] I am new to Controller Area Network (CAN). Does TI have any resources to help me understand the basics of the CAN protocol?

The Technical Reference manual (TRM) chapter for any device explains the CAN protocol implementation in the MCU. That is, it explains the functions of the various registers/bits. However, it does not explain the protocol itself. For protocol information, refer to these excellent videos:
