Hello,
In the linked post, it is suggested in the last post from Brandon green, to set the MAC_ARP_Address in network bytes order, i.e. 0x2000A8C0 for 192.168.1.32 and that it would lead to the following updated register value:
MAC_ARP_Address 0xC0A80020 // previously 0x0
This would mean that the write sees its byte orders changed.
I was trying to get ARP offload to work and so I did the same, writing my IP in the register in network byte orders format (0x0400A8C0), but no answer was sent by the processor.
I then wrote it in host byte order format, i.e. 0xC0A80004, then the automated ARP request got sent.
I am missing something or the indication by Brandon in the linked post was wrong ?
Best regards,
Clément
