I got the projects from the link you provided, thank you.

There are some steps in the pdf that are specific to SYS/BIOS projects like the modifications in app.cfg file.

Is there another document that I can refer to? I am using FreeRTOS in my Application project. Below are the specific points that I need help with:

1. Boot Project: Watchdog - PAGE 8

    How should this be disabled?

   The pdf talks about a gel script to be used but I cannot find any suitable for F28379D in C2000Ware

2. Application Project: Kernel Configuration Changes - PAGE 10

  i. How to plug in the new reset vector for “&myBoot” ?

  ii. How to place _c_int00 at 0x0BC00 (FLASHN)*.  

Are there anymore changes needed for a FreeRTOS based application project?

We provide .gel files as part of CCS usually. You can view the .gel file associated with your .ccxml file by going to Tools -> GEL Files while in the CCS Debug perspective. If you double click on the file name you can view and edit it. Looks like we do in fact provide a script to disable the watchdog using the GEL. Note that this only applies to running with CCS connected, so you still may need to add some code to your application to disable it.

I'll copy our FreeRTOS expert to comment on the FreeRTOS-related considerations that need to be made.

I mentioned in an earlier reply how to use a .gel file, but if you want to disable it in your software you should just be able to call the driverlib SysCtl_disableWatchdog() function.

You don't need to plug a new reset vector--we always reset to the boot ROM. You just need to make sure that myBoot is located at the flash entry point (0x80000--see the ROM chapter of the TRM for more details) and the boot ROM will call it. Are you familiar with how we do this in C2000Ware examples? If not, import one of our examples that has a Flash build configuration and see how it uses the BEGIN location in the linker command file to place the contents of CodeStartBranch.asm there.

I think you can do something like this in your linker command file:

.start : {-l rts2800_fpu32_eabi.lib<boot28.asm.obj>} > FLASHN, PAGE = 0

Change the RTS library name if you're using a different one of course.

Vasudha, please chime in if there's something else that needs to be considered for FreeRTOS applications. I know sometimes SYS/BIOS will try to insert it's own code start function--not sure if FreeRTOS has an equivalent.
