The 28379D datasheet mentions that the 28379D and 28379S are pin-pin compatible. Can it be assumed that the 28379S can be a simple drop-in replacement for the 28379D without any software change if there is on code that runs on the second core?
I am planning to test out the 28379S 170 and 100 pin packages as an option to the 28379D 377 pin package. Other than the reduced adc pins would there be anything else that might change between the DSPs. I am only using one core of the 29379D currently.
