Error connecting to the target: (Error -1155 @ 0x0)

I had a problem uploading Flash to my F28069. After that I got the error: (Error -1155 @ 0x0)

C28xx: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1155 @ 0x0) Device may be operating in low-power mode. The debugger has forced the device to wake up. Choose 'OK' to attempt to complete the debug connection. (Emulation package 9.4.0.00129)

Can you please help me to resolve it?

Hi,

Is this new design or TI EVM? Was it working before or it is first time you are trying with this system?

Can you please take a look on this thread? In this thread, Bret has listed possible causes and pointers how to narrow the issue.

Hi Santosh,

It was working fine before, I was able to debug the code.

I did some tests today and powered the board with an external power supply and connected it with an external emulator, same issue

Hi Zainul,

Is this TI EVM or your custom board? Can you try in 'Wait Boot' mode?

I have tried on the new board and the first time it was working, but when i tried second time i am getting same issue.

Hi,

Did you try in 'Wait-Boot' mode? Can you check XRS pin on the board?

Hi Zainul,

Did you try in 'Wait boot' mode? Which application did you program on first time? Was it your custom application or it was example from C2000Ware? Did you had watch-dog enabled?

Hi Santosh,

the hint with the Wait boot mode was the solution of our issue. We use the TMDSDOCK28069 and didn't realize that the default setting of the SW1 switch will boot from Flash. With that the first two to three debug sessions were possible but after that we got that error mentioned by Zainul above.

Now the Dip switch is correctly set and the debugging is possible.

My question here is, is this wait mode special for the F28069 controller or related to the evaluation board? We also using the TI28335 with the old eZdsp eval-board where we never had such problem.
