TIDM-02010: Motor running problem with esmo

We are testing 1kW prototype board using tidm-02010, we are able to test a 1kW motor successfully using FAST algorithm. But, while running the same motor with eSMO the motor starts rotating with a cranky noise. Is there any thing that needs to be importantly changed in esmo. We are changing the motor parameters.

also we have designed our prototype for a 250W motor to run in esmo, we are providing input to 1kW motor from that terminal. Are we going wrong there?

There are a few parameters as below that are needed to tune according to the motor through many trial runs. It's difficult to give a specific value according to the motor. You may try to tune these parameter per the testing state.

BTW, it's better to implement the FAST for motor control if the ADC channels are enough for your application, the FAST should be easily to tune and run a motor in a short time.

Hi Luo,

Thanks for the quick response. Will try tuning the parameter. The ADC channels are not enough as we are also implementing temperature sensing for both motors, We have used FAST for compressor motor and eSMO for FAN motor.
