TMS320F280041C: Accessing Emulation Boot Config and Boot Definition

Hello,

I've read how there is OTP that can be programmed to control the boot mode at powerup. To help with configuring this during emulation with JTAG there is RAM that can used during emulation for the same purpose to allow testing prior to burning the OTP. In the SPRUI33D it says the emulation registers exist at 0xd00, 0xd04, and 0xd06 but how do you access these while in debug mode in the memory browser? The PIEVECTTABLE exists at 0xd00 under the Data tab and in all other tabs there doesn't seem to be anything there.

Emulation boot config is applicable only when bootrom code executes. after that when application code executes it can be repurposed as PIEVECTTABLE.

so there is no conflict.

Thanks. So I'd need to set these locations in RAM to the boot config emulation value and then what is the process to force debug window to reset and run thru the boot ROM? Is it as simple as issuing a reset command to the system via the reset button in the debug toobar and letting it run? Is there an app note that discusses this process? I've always just loaded my code and the debugger takes me directly to the start of main().

it is as simple as issuing reset in CCS toolbar.

since it is simple process we didnt think of coming up with an app note.
