Hi Team,

Steps for my customer to use CLA:

1. Include the lib library into the project;

2. Allocate memory for CLA.

LS0 : data

LS1~5 : program

3. include "CLAmath.h"

4. Programming in task. Call CLAexp, and the result is 0.

Another phenomenon is that when calling CLAexp, the keyword CLAexp is not highlighted.

Hi Veena,

Yes, the routine can works normally.

But this customer's project have big different from the routine. So he integrating the Library into his project.

He is according to the CLA_MATH_LIB_UG section 4 to configure.

He can find the memory allocation for CLAexp at map file. But the output of CLAexp is 0.

This is also the case with other exponential functions.

Hi,

I see you are using the DMA-CLA MSG RAM for allocating the Math table. Can you please check if this memory is loaded correctly? I am not sure if the RAM locations are programmed in the Flash configuration. A typical use case if to load to Flash and later copy to the desired RAM location. This also ensures that this data is not lost after a power on reset or during standalone execution

From the exp example :

CLA1mathTables : LOAD = FLASH11,

RUN = RAMLS4_5,

RUN_START(CLA1mathTablesRunStart),

LOAD_START(CLA1mathTablesLoadStart),

LOAD_SIZE(CLA1mathTablesLoadSize),

PAGE = 1

memcpy((uint32_t *)&CLA1mathTablesRunStart, (uint32_t *)&CLA1mathTablesLoadStart,
(uint32_t)&CLA1mathTablesLoadSize);

Hi,

Customer also tried routine's usage. He put his program into the routine project and found that the generated map files were different.

In the figure below, the left is the map generated by the routine, and the right is the map generated by the project he is using.

He found that the generated address of ClaExpTable is different. He uses the same cmd file. The executed code, optimization level and other attributes are the same, but the output map is different.

Hi,

The cmd available in the CLAmath examples includes different allocation of the math table based on the predefined symbols settings. Please ensure you are allocating to section the memory region as per your requirement
