Hi,
Good Day.
This is related to my other post, please see below the link for your reference.
https://e2e.ti.com/support/isolation-group/isolation/f/isolation-forum/1161522/inquiry
For on-board communications, is the same with I2C, SPI, etc.?
Let me explain: I have a microcontroller that communicates with a differential ADS, via SPI bus.
ADS measures the differential signal coming from a stress cell located about one / two meters from the board.
Does putting TVS diodes on the + 5V, Stress +, Stress- pins allow me to prevent any ESDs, EFTs and avoid isolating the SPI bus?
Putting a TVS diode on the GND pin of the stress cell, the customer think is really useless.
He always finds it written as "separate GNDD planes from GNDA ones" but so far he has not been able to see examples without isolation.
The chip he want to use is ADS130E08IPAG and TMS320F28004x-100pins.
Please advise. Thank you very much.
Best Regards,
Ray Vincent
