LAUNCHXL-F280039C: Error connecting to the target while debugging while running LEDblinky example project from C2000 ware library

Hi,

Please make sure you are using CPAU1_LAUNCHXL_RAM build configuration, and launchpad target configuration is active.

• Right-click on the project, go to build configuration -> Set Active -> CPU1_LAUNCHXL_RAM
• Open target configuration folder and make sure f280039c_launchpad.ccxml is active

Just to confirm, do you have CPU1_LAUNCHXL_RAM build configuration and TMS320F280039C_LaunchPad.ccxml as Active?

I Understood....I selected CPU1_LAUNCHXL_RAM  from build configuration -> set active..but still its showing as follows

You do not have  TMS320F280039C_LaunchPad.ccxml as Active

Right-Click on TMS320F280039C_LaunchPad.ccxml and then section Set Active

This should fix your issue.

I have corrected that, still showing same error

Did you modify the target configuration file?

Can you open the target configuration and make sure you are using 2-pin cJTAG mode is selected?

Is this new Launchpad?

I am not able to understand the problem shown while debugging...for e.g., JTAG settings and TCLK...never faced such issue before. 
Error connecting to the target:
(Error -2131 @ 0x0)
Unable to access device register. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).

Yes, it is new LaunchPad. I am using it first time..I have set 2-pin cJTAG mode as given in TI guide. But still I am getting same error. 

Can you put the board in 'Waitboot' mode and then try?
