TMS320F28379D: ControlCard program not loading properly with CCS : LD2 and LD3 always red

Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Good afternoon,

We have received three controlCard for the F28379D and we are testing it with the baseboard which powers up the control card.

In one of the control card teh system works proplerly and the LED status is :

LD3  : blinking

LD2: Off

LD1: on

The other two boards teh program enters in an interruption system and does not work properly  and the LED situation is the following :

LD3  : ON

LD2: ON

LD1: on

I believe that the configuration of the three control cards is the same  and all of them is the same  revision (R1.3 )

Could someone help me understand what does mean the status of  LD2 and LD3 red ? have you seen this error in any other boards? In case yes, how could we solve it?

I read that removing the resistor r83 could be a solution, however, the three boards have the same resistor, therefore, i dont fully understand what is the problem.

Thank you in advanced,

Best,

Ester

  • Ester,

I just want to make sure you have correct setup.

Are you using XDS100v2 onboard emulator to connect or you are using external emulator?

If you are using onboard emulator, then you need to connect two USB cable. One connects to docking station which provides power to controlCARD. Another one is connected to controlCARD itself which has xds100v2 onboard emulator.

If you are using external emulator, then you need to change make sure you have switching setting done correctly for this. Please refer to the users guide.

    Thanks, Santosh

  • Hi Santosh,

Thank you for your fast reply,

A:SW1 is set as 1 ON (up) and 2 OFF (down)

    SW1 : 1 UP AND 2 DOWN

I find is strange as one of teh control cards works properly with the same code, the same configuration and the same USBs

However,  I removed of this card  R83 and the board works, thank you very much!

    best,

    Ester
