Dear Sir ,
We are developing motor controller based on C2000 28384x Chip , and considering to measure the currents of the motor using Sigma delta modulator.
In order to improve EMC we have reviewed the application note SLAA851 (LVDS to Improve EMC in Motor Drives) , there it is suggested to use SD Modulator
with LVDS interface such as AMC1305L25, while near the C2000 there are LVDS line receiver and transceiver DS90LV011A/DS90LV012A.
using LVDS transceiver for Clock and then additional LVDS receiver for the data will cause delay between the received Data and the original clock that the C2000 is using
won't it be an issue ? as the additional propagation delay can violates the timing requirement of the Sigma Delta filter (Setup time) ?
if so what are the suggested solutions to overcome this issue ?
Hi,

Thanks.
Eyal,
Yes, adding LVDS will certainly add additional propagation delay which might violate the SDFM timing requirement. But, if you can spare additional PWM pin, you can account for the additional propagation delay and account that into PWM clock going to SD-Cx pin.
