TMS320F28379D: Unable to access C2000ware 3.04 version and import example into IDE

I have ccs Version: 9.1.0.00010 and have also the C2000ware 3_04_00_00. I wanted to import a few examples from the resource explorer. However, the resource explorer seems to work only on cloud i.e.e shows only the folders in the cloud.

If I turn off the cloud, nothing shows.

If I try to download the example files using the 'Download and Install' option, it says that it is not supported on my OS:

My question is why is ccs not detecting the C2000ware 3.04 that I already have installed on my PC and showing all the files offline?

When I followed the instructions given in this post: https://e2e.ti.com/support/tools/code-composer-studio-group/ccs/f/code-composer-studio-forum/893686/ccs-ccstudio-code-composer-studio-not-finding-c2000ware-tools

i.e. the steps: selecting the menu item "Window" then navigating Preferences->Code Composer Studio->Products

So tried to manually add the folder which I have and added it as shown above. Applied the changes and restarted ccs. But it shows nothing but the clod folders and I'm still unable to import any example file.

Hi,

Did you install C2000Ware from Resource Explorer or did you manually download the installer ?

If you already have files on your PC, you can import the projects by using the option -> Project->Import CCS Project -> Select Search Directory.

Here you can select the folder within C2000Ware from which you want to import the project. One selected, it will list all the CCS projects within the selected directory. You can choose the projects that you want to import and click on Finish.

This will import the selected projects into your Project exlporer view.

The C2000ware was manually installed. When I try to import the project as directed by you the following error occurs:

Hi.

I am not sure what is causing this issue.

Pls try with a new CCS workspace or try to reinstall C2000Ware.

I tried both options. However, only the cloud data is shown and not the offline data in resource explorer. I also noticed this in another pc in our lab.

Unfortunatley I am unable to reproduce it and hence cannot provide any suggestions at this point.

Can you also try updating to the latest CCS version?

Pls elaborate the steps that you did after downloading C2000Ware

Actually, the project I have to run is compatible with the CCS v9.1.0.00010, so I'm not trying to update CCS.

After installing C2000ware, the installation window comes, so I proceeded with the installation. For the path, I gave the same path where the CCS has been installed in C-drive.

Hi,

If you downloaded the offline version of C2000Ware, you can directly import the project from CCS by selecting Project - > Import CCS Project -> Select Search Directory.

Here you can browse to the folder from which you want to import the projects . One selected, it will display the list of projects in the selected directory.

You can then select the projects to import and click on Finish to import the projects into CCS workspace.

You don't have to import from the resource explorer. Let me know if this works.
