I am using TMS320F28379D (in OP8666 by OPAL RT) and Code Composer Studio (CCS) and I run Simulink models in real time, using ADC, DO ports etc., and I want to use Simulink blocks to generate real time delays of specific duration (e.g., 10usec), to use them as deadtime for generating pulses (I am not using any PWM module). Which is the appropriate C2000 Support Package Simulink block for configuring the Timer settings and also what hardware configuration settings should I make?

Thank you Omer. Can you give me an example or a link to find examples to do the work I described in my question, via programming the processor in C from CCS (libraries, timers configuration, etc.) as an alternative to Simulink?

Hello Nena,

You mentioned various peripherals, and there are C2000Ware examples provided for each (see C2000Ware_4_XX_XX_XX\driverlib\f2837xd\examples\cpu1 in you file explorer); you will need to install C2000Ware if you have not already. Can you tell me exactly what you're trying to achieve? There may be an example for one of those categories that covers the solution you're trying to create. If you're just trying to create a timer (not through the ePWM), then you can see the timer examples in C2000Ware.

Actually, I want to implement the interrupt_ex3_sw_prioritization code that I found in the C2000Ware_4_XX_XX_XX\driverlib\f2837xd\examples\cpu1\interrupt using the available Embedded Coder Support Package for Texas Instruments C2000 Processors (see the attached file). I am not sure which block I should use to configure the period (PRD register) of the timers (TIM0, TIM1, TIM2 registers) and use them to generate the hardware interrupts at the time intervals that I want. Maybe the Software Interrupt or the C28x Hardware Interrupt. Any advice on this will be very helpful!

As I mentioned before, for all Simulink/MathWorks questions, you should ask the customer support for MathWorks. This forum is meant for questions regarding TI-developed software (such as CCS or C2000Ware), devices, documentation, etc. If you have questions on specific peripherals or something with the device itself, I'll be happy to answer your questions or direct the proper expert to provide a solution. It sounds like your question is mainly regarding the Simulink software, so I'll close this thread for now.
