Hi Team,

The BiSS-C encoder interface library uses 2 tiles.

F2838x has 8 tiles.

So the F2838x can connect 4 encoders?

What is the maximum number of encoders that can be connected to F2838x?

Each interface requires 2 tiles plus a SPI peripheral port and CPU bandwidth to process the data. Therefore, in theory with the 8 tiles and 4 SPI on F2838x there could be 4 interfaces. Two things to note-

TI has not tried implementing this configuration.
We have not released the source code for the demonstration ti.com. The source code would be required in order to implement this.

Hi Lori,

I've been checking out a bunch of posts about the F28388 and BISS encoder library/example.
It seems like it's been on your radar for a while. Any idea when an example and library might be available for the F28388? Seems like a lot of people are waiting for it.
