TMS320F28379S: Alternative part for TMS320F28379 with 28off ADC channels?

Part Number: TMS320F28379S

Hi I am currently using TMS320F28379SZWTT device which has 24off ADC channels and my application requires 28off ADC channels.

I've been using a multiplexor on one channel to read the remaining four channels, but this is not an ideal solution and creates other issues.

Do you have another device that has at least 28off ADC channels, as I'm looking to update the design and this would be an ideal time to bring in a new device.

Any device would need to be supported by Matlab.

I think the F28P65x would be able to meet your requirements, given what you have stated above. You can look at the comparison here.

Hi Omer, looks like the F28P65x range is a lower spec device compared to the F28379 device, although as you mentioned it does have increased ADC channels which would be the main point in changing to a new part. I'm just trying to see if this device is fully supported by Matlab and fully available

To see what devices are supported by MATLAB, you will need to contact MathWorks support since they are the ones developing the software. From my understanding there's nothing stopping the F28P65x from being supported, just the software they develop.

First superset part number has just started production, but there are samples available on TI.com

it typically takes a few months before stock shows up at digikey, etc.
