The purpose of this test is to monitor the liveness of CLA running tasks in a meaningful way, possibly as intended in safety item CLA8.

The end-of-task CLA interrupt should work, but if it makes sense to also incorporate cross-checks between the CLA and CPU that incorporate parameters from each function, that may increase coverage. You may already be doing similar cross-checks as part of your reciprocal comparison implementation?

Right now, we are not implementing reciprocal comparison yet. 

I saw in a previous post: "I see is the ACK can be set by interrupt within that PIE group, not necessarily due to CLA interrupt. So, there are chances all false indication. A better solution would be to use a shared variable set at the end of ISR and the CLA task waiting for this variable." That's why I thought a cross-check between CLA and CPU could avoid this, plus provide higher coverage. But I am not sure which way should this "liveness check" be applied.

Were you able to find a solution that worked for you? I do agree with Veena's caution about using the ACK.
