Hi,

If i look at the output of PWM i can see extra points. How can i remove them?

thanks vadim

  • Hi Vadim,

Could you clarify what you mean by "extra points"?

What is your EPWMCLK frequency and what oscilloscope are you using (and what sampling rate)?

    Best Regards,

    Allison

  • Hi Alison,

You can see front and and back end of the pulse are not straight lines. I am using Tek MDO034 2.5G/s. I use syscfg to set Time Base Clock Divider to divide by1 and High Speed Clock Divider to divide by one. Where can i check EPWMCLK ?

    thanks vadim

  • Hi Vadim,

Are you seeing the correct EPWM frequency output that you are trying to configure? One way to check the EPMCLK if you are using SysConfig would be to use the clock tree tool:

  • Hi Alison,

i do not see clock icon.

    thanks vadim

  • Hi Vadim,

What versions of C2000Ware and SysConfig are you using? Typically, the clocktree tool should be available in that side-panel - but I'd like to check on this.

Coming back to the original issue - I wanted to ask if your signal looks as expected other than the "extra points" you refer to (i.e. PWM frequency, duty cycle, action qualifiers, trips etc. are all what you were expecting from your EPWM)? I am trying to determine if there is a configuration issue or measurement issue. Are you utilizing or basing your project off of an existing C2000Ware example?

    Best Regards,

    Allison

  • Hi Allison

    Version: 12.5.0.00007

The output signal has the right frequency and the amplitude. I use my project, but you can try an example and see it for yourself on a launchpad.

    thanks vadim

  • Hi Vadim,

Did you mean you used a C2000Ware example (and if so, which one)? Or that you used your own project?

Could you try using one of the C2000Ware EPWM examples to see if you see the same "extra points" on the output?

Driverlib examples are located at {C2000Ware}\driverlib\f2837xd\examples\cpu1\epwm\. such as the example epwm_ex13_up_aq.

    Best Regards,

    Allison

  • Hi Allison,

    Thanks
