Hi,

We recently bought the C2000-GANG flasher and was hoping to use it for flashing a TMS320F28388D board.

The website states that the C2000-GANG

Supports all current and future C2000 devices

After downloading the GUI I could not find the TMS320F28388D board, so I started searching the forums, where I found this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000-microcontrollers-group/c2000/f/c2000-microcontrollers-forum/1047650/tms320f28388d-flash-programmer, where it says that they might need a few weeks to fix it. However, the post is two years old.

Can you please update me on the progress of this?

I'm looking into this, I will give another update tommorow once I get more information on the status of the support for that device.

My understanding is that this is in progress, there was some issue integrating the M4 core into the standard C2000 MCU flow and tool was not updated. I'm waiting on an ETA back from that team, let me check back in today to see if we have a timeline we can share/

Hi,

I am in the same situation as the member Sjurgw.

We want to use C2000 gang programmer for TMS320F28388D without the ARM core.

Elprotronic doesn't answer anymore ...

Let me escalate this internally to see if we can get resolution to this. I know there are conversations ongoing, but I am not aware of a timeline/schedule for a fix.

same here...

About a year ago i got an answer from elprotronic that they're working with TI to fix that issue but never heard from them again.

I asked again in October if there is any news about that but didn't get an answer.

We would also like to use the C2000-GANG programmer for the F28388D but including the arm core.

Apologies for the delay in response from TI, I've been speaking with others to understand the situation and to see if there is some resolution.

Unfortunately, the issue persists, in that the C2000-GANG does not support the F2838xD, and we have not been able to reach a resolution with Elprotronic to resolve it.

I don't have much more to share here, I'm assuming since the C2000-GANG does not work for your systems then those units can be returned to TI for a refund. I would advise to see this web page on TI return proceedure https://www.ti.com/support-quality/additional-information/customer-returns.html , if there is request for failure reason we can reference this E2E post but if you have issues if you reply here I will see it and can assist.

Again, I know this isn't the answer everyone wanted, but wanted to go ahead and communicate what I know today.
