LAUNCHXL-F28P65X: CCS v12.6.0 issue to setup target config?

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28P65X
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Team,
Using CCSv12.6.0 + C2000Ware 5.01 to setup a working Target config for LAUNCHXL_F28P65x:
Is there a known issue?
Can you please help with the below error message?

I tried to flash the empty_driverlib_project from C2000Ware/English/Devices/F28P65x/F28P650DK9/Examples in Resource Explorer. The project contains a targetConfigs/TMS320F28P650DK9.ccxml file.
Same when using lab_blinkyled_driverlib_launchpad from C2000Ware/English/Training/device/F28P65x/getting_started in Resource Explorer here.

When trying the procedure in the E2E post here, after going to target configuration view (View -> Target Configuration) and selecting the project specific target configuration file and then launch, I get the error message.
When opening the target configuration (targetConfigs/TMS320F28P650DK9.ccxml) and clicking on “Test Connection”, I get
[Start: Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe_0]
An invalid processor ID has been found.

I also need to bypass CPU1_CLA1, otherwise I get the error “Cannot find a driver for Cpu CPU1_CLA1” in CCS (but not CCS Theia).
I have the board connected to the computer via USB while performing these steps. Also, the build works fine, it is the board connection that seems not working.

In Device Manager I can see the two XDS110 COM ports and the two XDS110 debug probes.
I also tried with the other launchpad and I switched USB ports and cables and I experience the same issue.

Thanks in advance!
Anthony
