TMS320F280039C: ADC accuracy estimation

Part Number: TMS320F280039C

Dear Champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

Referring to this post, the user wonders if this applies to F28003x using internal reference 1.65V?

That is,

So the accuracy (un-adjusted error) would be:
(452 + 42 + 22 + 0.52 + 12)0.5 = 45.235 LSB.

Is that the appropriate way to calculate accuracy for ADC module using Internal reference 1.65V?

If that is incorrect, any recommend way or formula to calculate accuracy for ADC module?

  • Wayne,

    Yes, TUE accounts for all the errors which are linearity, offset, gain.  Reference error for internal VREF is already included in gain so i would use these numbers

      GE = 45

      OE = 5

      INL = 2

      DNL = 1

    TUE should be recalculated as 45.33, which is not to far off from your original calculation.  GE is the dominant error in internal VREF.

    Regards,

    Joseph
