In one of our project we need to use both Ethernet and EtherCAT communication. We have selected TMS320F28388D processor and planning to use its CM core for this activity.
While using the 176 pin HLQFP package of F28388D we observed that most of the pins for Ethernet are multiplexed with EtherCAT, and we are finding it difficult to use both Ethernet and EtherCAt features together.
Is there any way to use both EtherCAT and Ethernet features together in the 176 pin HLQFP package itself. This will help us to avoid using the nFBGA package (337 pin) with multilayer PCB.
