TMS320F2812: Space Vector PWM in Hardware

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F2812

Hi!

I use the TMS320F2812 and tried to get the hardware-based space vector PWM (located in the event manager) running.
In general it works great, but sometimes (sporadic, not exactly reproducible) it produces erroneous signals.
After a week intensive analysis and looking for software bugs, the feeling arises, that this is an errata in the processor hardware.

After searching the forum I have found some similar problems:

http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/tms320c2000_32-bit_real-time_mcus/f/171/p/32894/114499.aspx#114499

My observations / investigations show the following:

The problem occurs randomly when changing the 60 degree SV sector in ACTRA register.
The one line (of the three) which remain constant in this sector, gets (perhaps from previous used sector) the wrong logical state,
which is stable until changing to another sector by writing the ACTRA register.

Is there any known workaround (beside doing the space vector PWM in software) known?

Could TI confirm this errata or is it a more likely a problem of my software?

Thanks & Regards.
