TMS320F280039C: Fail to unlock DCSM when using SCI serial bootloader example serial_flash_programmer.exe

Part Number: TMS320F280039C

Tool/software:

Hi Champs,

My customer is using serial_flash_programmer.exe and have several questions:

1. After autobaud, customer enters 4 to unlock ZONE 1, then enters the password to unlock zone1, and then enters 1 for DFU, and the following reports an error as below, do you have any suggestions about what went wrong?

2. After adding the function of DCSM to the program, it will fail to debug without manually modify the boot mode pin to SCI BOOT mode. So is it necessary to use SCI BOOT MODE when using serial_flash_programmer.exe if enable DCSM?

3. The autobaud process with serial_flash_programmer takes four to five minutes, why does it take so long? Is there a way to make it faster?

Thanks!

Julia

  • Hi Julia,

    1. Are you able to show what is present at address 0x90000 through the memory browser? What does the project's map file say it to be written there?

    2. It is necessary to use the SCI BOOT MODE if you're downloading over the SCI peripheral without use of the emulation boot mode.

    3. Do you have any other background applications open prior to using the executable?

    Thanks and regards,

    Charles
