LAUNCHXL-F28069M: Unable to connect the launchpad with PC

Hi,

This is the first time to connect the the LAUNCHXL-F28069M to the PC. Although the Windows didn't ask me to install software driver, it seems to me that the driver is installed, as shown in the device manager.

However, the board is not automatically detected in CCS. Can you guide me through what might be the problem?

BTW, i have also installed the MotorWare, i just wonder how to access it in the CCS? Or do i just have to import each individual sample project?

Hi, our older LaunchPADs, such as F28069, do not support autodetect. Do you have trouble connecting with manual selection?

Hi Haolin,

Instead of entering LAUNCHXL-F28069M into the board section, you can try to search for the F28069M device into the Keywords search and then follow the directory path shown to access example software for the board

Hi Peter,

I don't have problem looking for example code. The problem is how to build up the comms between the lauchpad and the PC so that i can flash and load code to the chips. I still have problem connecting the lauchpad.

HI Haolin,

Just saw your earlier question about MotorWare, yes you would need to install whatever project you are intending to use with CCS through the Import Project function in CCS.

Do you have the latest XDS drivers? You may need to download them from here: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/xdsdebugprobes/emu_xds_software_package_download.html
