Tool/software:
Hello,
In the TRM, "the Flash sector that encompasses the configured Flash entry point and the first 16KB of Flash is assigned to Zone 1 for the core setup for secure Flash boot."
But I do not assign any flash sector to Zone, the secure boot run normal, can branch to customer boot.
Is it necessary to assign the Flash entry point and the first 16KB of Flash to Zone 1?
Hello,
This recommendation is intended to protect the first 16KB of flash which would typically contain your bootloader. As long as this memory region is protected a hacker will be unable to overwrite this memory with some other bootloader code. It is not technically necessary but recommended depending on your security requirements.
Thank you,
Luke
